day of October 1786

Who being an Oath saith that about twelve oClock
last Night Person knock'd at this Informant door
That this Informant looked out of the Window where
the Person informed This Informant that a Man
was almost killed on Sudbury Common
That about six oClock this Morning This Informant
was going ever said Sudbury Common where
he saw The two persons now Present and calling
themselves James Rudd< no role > and William Giggs< no role > This name instance is in a workspace.
That this Informant asked and Rudd and Giggs
what they wore doing That said Rudd and Giggs
answered they were looking for some Money
that was last last Night That this Informant
left said Rudd and Giggs That about an Hour
and half after This Informant saw William
Wells< no role > a Constable and a Mr Putnam pursuing
the said Rudd and Giggs That this Informant
ran to the said Rudd and Giggs and said to then
You may as well surrender yourselves for you
will be taken That they replied to this Informants
they would and That this Informant took them
into his [..] custody.
