The Information of James Dawson< no role > of Dyot Street Saint Giless
Laboured taken before me this fourteenth day of September
1786

Who being upon Oath saith, that he knows one Joseph Crawley< no role > and
two persons now present who call themselves Joseph Wright< no role > and John Lawson< no role >
That on Friday morning last at about one o'Clock the said three Persons
came to the George and Crown in Broad Saint Giles's (kept by Mr. Mints) at
which time this Informant was assisting there as a Waiter, which he
frequently does, tho' he is not a regular hired ServantThat he served
said three Persons with two two shillings worths of PunchThat said
Crawley changed a Guinea, paid for the Punch, and gave four shillings
and Six pence to each of the other PersonsThat from the Conversation
of the said three Persons he judged they had Committed a Robbery, particularly
from an Expression which dropped from one of them, but which he
cannot tell viz: "We'll buy a pair of Sticks now"meaning (as this
Informant than understood) a pair of PistolsThat at about nine oClock
the said Morning, he went to said Crawleys Lodgings in Blue Court Saffron
Hill , in hopes that he would give him a shilling or twoThat he had
not been there long, before said Wright came inThat said Wright asked
said Crawley, if he had disposed of the WatchThat Crawley answered he
did not know where to dispose of itThat Crawley then asked this
Informant if he knew where he could dispose of itInformant
answered, they might dispose of it at Mrs. Harris's in Old Street That
said Wright went to the Distillers Arms the corner of Blue Court aforesaid
to wait till Crawley was ready to goThat when Crawley had got
his Things from the Washerwomans he and this Informant went to
said Public House where the said Wright then was, with another
person (whom this Informant doth not know)That said other Person
soon went away when said Crawley, said Wright, and this Informant
went together to Old Street , to dispose of said WatchThat said Wright
and this Informant went into Mrs. Harris's in Old Street aforesaid
together, and said Crawley waited at a Public House close byThat
said Wright offered said Watch to Sale, and asked four Guineas for it
That they were in a back Room of said HouseThat two Men and a
