maketh Oath that having entered
into a Recognizance to appear at the Sessions held at Justice
Hall
in the Old Bailey
in December last and give evidence
against John Allen< no role >
and Mary Allen< no role >
who as this Deponent
hath been informed and believes stood indicted for a felony he this
Deponent did Attend the first second and third Days of the said
Sessions pursuant to his said recognizance And that on the fourth
Day of the said Sessions he this Deponent was employed in the
business of his said Master till about twelve o'Clock at Noon
of that Day when this Deponent intended to go to the said Sessions
and Attend to give his evidence as aforesaid conceiving that her
should then be in full time for that purpose but meeting with Mr.
Rivington another Witness for the Prosecution he the said Mr.
Rivington informed this Deponent that the Trial of the said John
Allen< no role >
and Mary Allen< no role >
was over and that they were both
Acquitted And this Deponent saith that it was his full intention
duly and faithfully to Attend and give evidence against the said
John and Mary Allen< no role >
pursuant to his Recognizance And that
he did not absent himself with a view to occasion such
Acquittal or to impede the course of Justice or from any
corrupt or improper Motive whatsoever, but from the accident
aforesaid
