John Gillam< no role > at No. 6 of Exeter Court in the Strand
Stone Mason Upon his Oath Saith That he was in
the Coach and Horses about half past five on the Monday
Afternoon Saw Hastings The Landlord who told him the
Masons & Carpenters had been quarrellingthen went
into the parlour where he saw once Stone
Harrison the deceased oneNeale Charles Mayor< no role > several others
and a Gentlemans Servant a Friend of deceased heard
Stone and deceased agree to fight & they did fight
about ten Minutes and all the others appeared to
join in the fight, and [..] seemed to do so against the
deceased, the Gentlemens Servant endeavoured to make
peace was asked by some of the party to fight but
would not.deceased then sat down and would
not fight any more-but words arose again and
Neale was [..] ted to fight Harrison againAnd they
went out at the back Door into Windsor Court to fight
in five or Six Minutes Deponent went into the Court
and saw Neale and deceased fightingAnd a Ms.
Rutherforth went between them and caught hold of
deceased andbeggasked what they were at and if
they meant to kill the Manbut they still
continued fighting and Deponent then went away
and saw no more of the Affair
