and Mary Grifflin< no role > taken on Oath the
Twenty ninth day of August 1786 before me
one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for
the County of Middlesex .

This Informant John Richardson< no role > Saith That he rents
and lives in a house at Winchmore hill in the Parish of
Edmonton (Middlesex ) And that early in the Morning of
the Sixteenth day of August Instant his House was
Burglariously broke open And stolen and carried away
therefrom Five Guineas in Money, a Gun, Six Silver
Tea Spoons one pair of Silver Tea Tongs and other things his
property and that Two men entered into his Bed room
[..] and on hearing a noise he got out of bed
and being much afrighted he ran again to his bed and
one of the men fell upon him, and they strugled, and
the other struck him twice on the head with a Hedge
stake and then tyed his legs with the Sheet And his
hands with as string then one of them said let us get
a light, and said Eyestill I won't hurt a hair of Year
head, they then plundered the house and left him

That She is a Servant to John Richardson< no role > of Winchmore
Hill in the Parish of Edmonton (MIddlesex ) And that
on or about two o'Clock in the morning of the Sixteenth
day of August Instant her Masters House was broke
open, and she hearing a Noise she sat upright in the
bed, and saw three Man come in at her Bad Room
Window and on of them in a White Waistcoat came
in first One of them shook a stick at her and bid
her lye still And asked her for the Key of her box and
immediately Plumdered the House of her Masters
property And farther Saith That Henry [..] Geave< no role >
Staker the prisoner now under Examination is one
of the three Men, and was the first of them that.
came in at the Window, and [..] that a Gave Staker said in in the
the room near bed side near near an hour [..] and two [..] present own stairs and
Struck a light and brought up into her room which
gave her full Sight of the person therein
