Cunningham, and Major Cunningham, at the Door That said Batchelor
Said, that as they were going out, he would take another Opportunity;
but would not interrupt them then that no other Conversation
passed between them, nor did said Batchelor, ever claim acquaintance
with them thatEInformant, and said Batchelor, went into
Informants Room, where Informant took thirty two Guineas out
of a Chest, in the present of said Batchelor That they then went
out together; when Informant told said Batchelor that he was
going to buy some things in Holborn That said Batchelorsaid
said, as you look so ill, we will call a Coach, and they took one
at the corner of Clerkenwell Green , and drove to the Old Bell
in Holborn That said Batchelor asked Informant to walk in,
and drink a Glass That they went into a little back room, and
had either a six penny worth or a Shillings worth of Rum and Water
That whilst drinking it, another person came in, whom he believes
was the same person who came into them at the Public House
in Hatton Street aforesaid That said Person and said Batchelor
began to Gamble by making Letters on a Table [..] with a
Pot That said Batchelor became a Loser, and went out for the
purpose of borrowing some MoneyThat soon afterwards, said
Batchelor returned when they went to play again, and said
Batchelor lost all his Money, and then asked this Informant, to
land him some That Informant pulled out his purse and lent
him thirty two Guineas, at different Times, which was all he
had in that PurseThat said Batchelor said to this Informant
you have two Guineas in a leather Bag, "I must have that"
