taken upon Oath before me this 12th. day
of July 1786 .

Who being duly Sworn Upon his Oath Saith That on
Wednesday the 12th. day of July Instant about live twelve
o'Clock at Noon the Prisoner who Saith her Name is
Elizabeth Baines< no role > came into his Masters Christopher
Halls< no role > Shop in St. Martins Lane to buy Some buttons
during the time this Informant was looking for the
Buttons he observed a Piece of Dimothy Containing
About twenty Yards that lay on the Counter [..]
was moved, after this Informant had has Served the Prisoner
Elizabeth Baines< no role > with Some buttons and, She gone out
of the Shop he Missed the Said Piece of Dimothy and
Immediatly followed her, and look her the outside
of the Shop door, in bringing the Prisoner Elizabeth
Baines< no role > into the Shop he saw her drop from under
her Cloak the Piece of Dimothy now Produced
