On the Prosecution of The Reverend
Natts on Suspicion of Stealing a quantity of
One Lead and some Pieces of Iron

Mansell Evans< no role > of Mile End Old Town in the Parish
of Saint Dunstan Stepney otherwise Steabonheath in the
County of Middlesex Plumber Painter and Glazier
maketh Oath and saith that he this Deponent did as
Headborough for the Division of Mile End Old Town on
the twenty second of May list apprehended the said Robert
Barber
< no role > for stealing the said Property for which he was
committed and this Deponent was bound in a Recognizance
to prosecute the said Robert Barber< no role > and accordingly
preferred a Bill of Indictment against him which was
found true, But at the time the said Robert Barber< no role >
was called on his Trial this Deponent not particularly
knowing the time but was told by divers persons that the Trial would not came on until the next Day he at that instant out of Simple curiosity
went out of the Old Bailey Yard to see an Accident that
had happened by a Waggon being broke down at the Old Bailey
End at which time this Deponent as he is informed was
called on his Recognizance which he did not [..] thought
his intention was to Prosecute with effect and this Deponent
hopes that the Court will respite his Recognizance
