The Information of William
Elliot
< no role > and Samuel King< no role > taken
on Oath the 27th. day of June 1785 before
me one of his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex .

This Informant William Elliot< no role > on his Oath Saith
That he lives in an Appartment in the House of
William Burchell< no role > in the Parish of Saint Matthew [..]
Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex on
that some time last night before Te [..]
Box in his Appartments was feloniously broke open
and stolen and carried away there from Seven
Guineas and half in Gold the property of this
Informant.

This Informant Samuel King< no role > on his Oath
Saith That last Night between Ten and Eleven
o'Clocklast nighthe was Informed by the
Father of the said William Elliot< no role > that he had been
Robbed and he was hanging, and immediately
this Informant with the Assistance of one Francis Gobart< no role >
ran up into his Room and Cut him down and
on examining the Box found the same to have
been broke open and the Father told them
that his son had informed him before he hanged
himself that there was Seventeen Guineas and
half in the said Box and suspicion arising that
James Cuttx< no role > was the person who had Robbed
him [..] Saith that this MorningJohJames Co [..]
the Prisoner now under Examination was appre [..]
by John Elliot< no role > and brought the said James Cut [..]
into the same room where the Box was brought
open, [..] and the Prisoner thereof
acknowledged [..] before John Craighton< no role > and
[..] Samuel King< no role > and others that he was the
person who Committed the Robbery, and
immediately delivered to the said Samuel King< no role >
Five Guineas in Gold Twenty four Shillings in
Silver and some Copper.
