taken on Oath before us two of His Majestys
Justices of the Peace in and for the said
County the 2d day of December 1784

Who being on his Oath saith that on the 21st day of
November about Nine o'Clock in the Evening
he went up an Alley in Aldgate High Street in
the City of London with the Person now present
who says her Name is Jane Phillips< no role > saith
that he had previously put his Watch in the side
Pocket of his Coat. and is positive it was
there when he went up the sd Alley but soon [..]
discovered that the same was gone & presently
after the said Jane Phillips< no role > got from him the
Informant and ran away Lastly saith that
no other Person was present or could have
Picked his Pocket but the said Jane Phillips< no role >
