3rd. day of November 1784

Who being on Oath saith that on Friday night the
29th. of Octr.Sepr.last about the Hour of Eleven he went
into his Dye house the Back of his Dwelling house
situate as aforesaid That at that Time every
thing was safe On Saturday Morng. the 30th ofSepOct
about the Hour of Seven oClock he went into
his said Dye house and found a Chest in which
was a Quantity of hard Soap [..] had been broke
open andaboutpastthereofof said Soap taken awaylikewise
[..] pieces of Silk Handkerchief and several
Empty Bags had been taken away and about Twelve pound of Candles
That he is certain One of the Bag [..] produced and
he [..] very beleives the other Bags and soap
likewise produced are his property and were
taken out of his said Dye House after the Hour
of Eleven on Friday night the 29th ofSepOct last and before the
Hour of Seven on Saturday the 30th. ofSepr pastOct last in the Morng.
