the Lading of the said Craft., And this Informant lastly saith
that he verily believes the said Edward Parry< no role > This name instance is in set 1531. was aiding
A belling and Assisting the said two Men who brought Parry
in the said Wherry in Committing the Felony and
Robbery aforesaid. And further this Informant saith not
And this Informant Edward Smith< no role > for himself saith that
being in his Cabin between the hours of One and two OClock
on sunday morning last he heard a Noise upon Deck and
coming upon Deck saw the prisoner Parry there and on asking
his Business on Board at that Hour he told Informants he
came on Board to see if he could deal and not to Thieve
and on Informants asking him of the knew any person
on Board or why he should ask distinctly for his Mate
to whichhe said he should give Informant no Answer
That Informant having by this time learnt that the
Robbery above mentioned had him Committed told Parry that
he should detain him on Board the Ship until he gave
some security when Parry said of he would send to the
Male of the None such (which was the near Ship) he would
give him a Character. And this Informant further saith
that the Male of the Ship was sent for and when he came
on Board he Informant him that he knew do more of
Parry than having had some dealing with him and sold
him some Goods for which he had paid him whereupon
Informant told him he should detain him until he was
able to give a heller account of himself. Whereupon Parry
said with all his heart he might detain him and for
which detention he would make Informant pay five pounds
an hour, but [..] ted in going to a Walch house or some
place of Confinement hadonInformant not having an
Apportunity to send him on shore then kept him Until four
OClock when he delivered him into the Custody of Henry
Harvey
