The Information of Elizabeth East< no role > Widow of William
East
< no role > Mariner taken on her Oath this 22d. Day of
May 1784

Who on her Oath Saith that on Friday the 21st. Inst. she
received of Mr. Riely of Hampton Week in the County of
Surry Currier the Sum of Fifty Pounds or thereabouts being
a Legacy left her by her Uncle John Sutton< no role > of Hampton
Week aforesaid Stationer. That sometime in the afternoon
of the said Day this Deponent went into the two Blue Post
Public House in Peter Street in the said City of Westminster
and soon after one Mary Garrett< no role > and one Richard Stacys
Daughter came into the said Public House That they all
Drank together And the sd Richd. Stacy< no role > being somewhat
disguised with Liquor his said Daughter went homeUp Stairs
with him that soon after his said Daughter came backdown
from her Father and then this Deponent, Stacys Daughter,
and the said Mary Garret< no role > wentalongto a Mr Hills in
the Broadway Pawn Broker, where this Deponent bought
her a Gown and several otherthings; That as soon as
they had finish'd their Business at Hills, They return'd
to Stacys House again when the said Stacy Assaulted this
Deponent and broke her Cloths, That on Account of the
Abuse and ill treatment she had received from the said
Stacy the said Mary Garrett< no role > perswaded her this Deponent
to go to a Justice and have a Warrant for him And that
she the said Mary Garrett< no role > would go along with her and
see her righted, That accordingly this Deponent together
with the said Mary Garrett< no role > went to one John Taylors a
Constable in Tothill Street Westminster to go with
them to the Justices for a warrant That in going from
