taken before me this 7th. day of May 1784.
Who being upon Oath say, and first the said James
Harris< no role >
says that last Night between 10 & 11 oClock as this Informant
was passing under Covent Garden Piazza
a person now present
who calls himself John Barnes< no role >
jostled against this Informant
and picked his Pocket of a Gold Watch with a steel Chair and
three gold SealsThat he immediately seized hold of him
when he mixed with several other Men and endeavoured to
escape but this Informant caused him to be securedAnd
the said Richard Thomegary says that he was in Company
with the said James Harris< no role >
at the time he was robbed as
aforesaid and saw said John Barnes< no role >
snatch something
from the said James Harris< no role >
's Breeches Pocket
