on Oath before [..] me one of His Majesty's Justices
of the Peace [..] in and for the said County this
20th day of April 1784

Who being on their Oaths say And first the said Benjamin
Nash< no role > for himself saith that about one Quarter of an
Hour after Ten o'Clock last night he this Informant &
one John Tann< no role > Stopped the person now present who saw
his name is John Simkins< no role > in Brick Lane Spitalfields
[..] having upon him the four Iron Dray Pins and Chains
now by him produced

AndThese Informants Joseph Tibbles Edward< no role > Gentle
and Edward Roberts< no role > for themselves say [..] That they are
Dray men toMr William Trueman< no role > Reed & Co. of Brick Lane
Brewers and each Speaking for himself saith that last
night an Iron Pin & Chain was Stolen from off the Dray
that [..] they respectively Drive and the said Joseph
Tibbles< no role > and Edward Gentle say that they and each of
them [..] believe that two of the Pins now produced
are the same that were so stolen from their Drays
as aforesaid

This Informant Richard Arrundle for himself saith
that he is foreman to Mr Wilson of White Chapel
Read Wheelwright [..] that he knows
the four Iron Pins now produced that they were
made by Mr Wilsons Smith for Mr. Wm. Trueman< no role > Reeds
& Cos. Draws and particularly one of them was very
lately put on a Dray belonging to the said William
Trueman< no role > Reed & Co. by Matthew Pritchard< no role > Servt .
to him this Informant and he verily believes
the said four Pins and Chains are the Property of
the said William Trueman< no role > Reed and Co.
