and upon Dept. saying, that he was Sorry for
it, Deced replied what can I do, I am
obliged to it, and am in Danger of my
Life every time I go out Says that he
called Doced about four, o Clock the next
Morning, and about Six o'Clock Deced
went out, and at the Door told Dept. to recollect
what he had said to him, if any thing
should happen, and would not suffer this
Dept. to go with him, Says that he saw the
Deced and another Gentleman walk
together in Hyde Park , and in a few
Minutes Dept. saw Colonel Gordon and
another Gentleman get out of a Coach
at Grosvenor Gate, and walk in Hyde
Park, Says that in about twenty Minutes
he heard the Report of a Pistol three
times in the Park and saw the Smoak,
That after the last Report he saw two
Men run from the Smoak, Says that
two Soldiers very soon run towards
Grosvenor Gate and enquired Which was
Colonel Thomas's House, upon which
Colonel Gordon and another Gentleman
who stood in the Road, Answered here it
is, and tho Soldiers the [..] said that Colonel
Thomas, was killed being Shot through
the Body, Says that the Deced was carried
home in a Blanket by four Soldiers
having a Worrid of a Pistol Ball on his right side and
another on the left side, where the Ball
was extracted as Dept. was informed
Says that after the Wound was Dressed
Deced said to Dept. It is a sad Job I
am Murder'd I am a dead Man,
and this the Deced repeated that
afternoon, and again about one o' Clock
the next Morning, the Deced being sens [..]
