The Information of Dominick Adhum of the Parish
of Saint Giles's in the Fields Vict . taken upon Oath
this 29th. day of July 1783 before me David Walker< no role >
Esquire One of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in
and for the said County

Who being upon Oath says that he keeps a Publick house in
little Turn Stile Holborn and that on Tuesday Evening the 15th.
instant about half past Ten o Clock. The Prisoner Margaret
Ann Smith
< no role > Alias Gibbs came to his House and wanted to have
a bundle of Stockings (the same as now produced and which appears
to be the Property of James Sexton< no role > ) for Six Shillings and Sevenpence
but Informant Suspecting the same to be Stolen Refused
to let her have any Money and immediately took her into Custody
