This Information on his Oath Saith That he keeps a Linnen
drapers
shop in Holywell street
in the Parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch
. That yesterday he being in his Shop about
Five O'Clock in the Afternoon the Prisoner Hannah Hall< no role >
now under Examination and another Woman came into
his Shop and asked this Informant to be that some Spotted
Lawn he accordingly shaved them some, and while they
were looking at it the said Hannah Hall< no role >
[..] drawed off the
Counter in the Shop a Remnant of Spotted Lawn Containing
about three yards and half now produced and lucked it up
and Concealed it under her Cloaths, they then desired to
look at some plain Lawn which this Informant shoed them
but none would please them at the price and accordingly
they bought none. This Informant further Saith that
he then followed them out of the doors in the street and
took the said Hannah Hall< no role >
into Custody and found the said
Piece of Plain Lawn now produced on the Ground [..] she having
dropt the same close by her side he then pulled her into his
shop where she dropt the piece of spotted Lawn which
are both the property of this Examinant and George
Jubb< no role >
his partner, This Informant then Delivered up
the said Hannah Hall< no role >
to a Peace Officer.
