late a Servant to Mrs.. Frances Fortescue< no role > o [..]
Tottenham in the said County of Middlesex
taken before us this 19th.. day of August
1782.

Who being on Oath says that about three Months ago Charlotte
Goodall< no role > now present and this Informant, being in their said Mistresses
house at Tottenham , the said Charlotte Goodall< no role > observed to this Infor-
mant that "there was in her Mistresse's Closet a Trunk which was
very heavy and that she should like to open it and see what it
contained"That this Informant agreeing theretothey broke the said
Trunk open in which they found some Silk or Sattin Etc That said
Charlotte Goodall< no role > out off about 4 or 5 Yards of white Sattin and
carried the same to her Mothers to sell for her. That when said Charlotte
Goodall< no role > returned she told this Informant that her Mother had
Pawned the said Sattin and had given her a Bonnett for it; but
that she this Informant never received any Consideration for the
same whatever. That about a Mouth ago either on a
Monday or Tuesday (her said Mistress being out) Priscilla
Goodall< no role > now present came to her Mistresses house, when the
Sattin was mentioned, and said Priscilla Goodall< no role > observed to
Charlotte her Daughter and this Informant that "if they did
not procure Money to Redeem the Sattin out of Pawn, they would
be both hanged" That upon their expressing their Doubts of being
able to obtain the Money for that purpose, the said Priscilla
Goodall< no role > observed that it Charlotte and this Informant liked
it, she would get or procure some Men (whom she was acquainted
with) to Rob their said Mistresses house. That upon Charlotte
and this Informant acquiesing to her Proposal, it was agreed
between the three, that when Mrs.. Fortescue dined out, the Robbery
should be committed, & of which the said Priscilla Goodall< no role > was to have
