THE Information of John Swaine< no role > , Taylor a Lodger at William
Undrill
< no role > s of Whitechapel Mount in the Parish of Saint Mary
Whitechapell
Taken this 17 Day of June 1782 before me One
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County

Who being upon Oath Saith that about Three Quarters after nine OClock
in the Evening of the Twelfth of June Inst. being last
Wednesday he was attacked by Two Foot pats in a
Field near a place called Spices [..] Island
Situate in the Midway between the Back Lane
and Whitechapel one of which Seized hold of himof
round the Neck threw him on the Ground and hold
him While the other rifled his Pockets and took
from him Four Guineas in Gold One half Crown
Piece. seven Shillings and six pence in Silver and
Six half pence and one Farthing and with which
they both immediately precipitately made Off. Saith
That he hath great reason to Suspect. and is almost
Positively certain that one James West< no role > now Present
is the very Person who Seized him by the NeckColler&
threw him on the Ground as abovementioned. [..]
whereby he was put in Bodily fear and danger of
his lifeand that the said James West< no role > was concern
in the said Robbery with the other Person not
Yet taken.
