me one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace in and
for the said County the Twenty fifth Day of May
One thousand seven hundred and Eighty two
And First this Informant John Raffan< no role >
for himself Saith
That he is a Servant
to Mr. Alexander Bean< no role >
of Great Wild
Street
Bloomsbury
Cloathier
That about the hour of 10 o'Clock
this Morning he went to the Warehouse belonging to his said
Master situate in Great Wild Street
Lincolns Inn
Fields
and as he was going up Stairs in the said Ware house he
was called to by two Work women that were therein and informed
That a Woman was then gone down Stairs That he went
down Stairs after the said Woman and Asked her what
she wanted there She said she wanted a Mrs: Jones That as
she was going away he observed she had something
Bulkey about her and upon Searching her found a Quantity
of Buttons concealed in the Pockets and on other parts of
the said Woman Saith They are the Property of his Master
the said Alexander Bean< no role >
and were in the said Warehouse
in Great Wild Street
aforesaid and are of the Value of Ten
Shillings and Upwards as he verily believes And this
Informant Mary Randall< no role >
for herself saith That she is the Wife
of John Randall< no role >
and works for the above named Alexander Bean< no role >
That she saw the Woman above mentioned come down the Stairs
from the Warehouse above mentioned and was present at the time
she was stopped by the other Informant John Raffan< no role >
That
she assisted in Searching her and found a Quantity of Buttons
concealed in her Bosom which are the property of the said
Alexander Bean< no role >
