was on the thirtieth Day of April last
committed to New Prison
Clerkenwell
in the County of
Middlesex
for feloniously assaulting Samuel Walker< no role >
in the Kings Highway in the said County on the twenty
ninth Day of January in the Year of our Lord One
thousand seven hundred and eighty one putting him in
Fear and feloniously taking from his Person several
Bags and Mails of Letters the Property of our
Sovereign Lord the King And this Deponent further
saith that since the Committment of the said George

otherwise Samuel Watson< no role >
he this Deponent
hath used due Diligence to be prepared to prosecute
the said George Weston< no role >
otherwise Samuel Watson< no role >
for
the said Felony at this present Session of Gaol Delivery
of Newgate for the said County of Middlesex
but by
Reason of the Distance of Time Since the said Felony
was committed and of the great Number of Witnesses
necessary to give Testimony on the Tryal of the said

, many of
which Witnesses reside in distant Counties from
the County of Middlesex
he this Deponent as
Solicitor in this Prosecution cannot be prepared to
prosecute with Effect the said George Weston< no role >
