then gave him the five shillings saying at the same time
now the Bag is mine and I am made a man forever
Empson then said to White I think you have made a very
good days work having given you twelve shillings for your
days WorkInformant further Saith that in the
first part of the Conversation he had with Empson and
White said Empson took Notice to White of his having
paid him seven shillings in Shoreditch which was
not denied by white and which this Informant
apprehends was the produce of some part of the Property
they had StolenLastly Saith that Empson [..]
and himself then came out of the Gun and Holly Bush
together (White upon having received the five shillings
Quitted the house immediately) and Informant having
just Cause to suspect the Contents of the Bag were Stolen
gave Information to the Office of John Sherwood< no role > Esqr.
when the said Empson was immediately apprehended
and the Articles hereinafter mentioned which were in the
Bag (with many others not yet found) were proved to have
been Stolen from the Yard of a Pindar the Sign of the
Red Lion in Whitechapel about the hour of One OClock
on the said Twenty ninth day of december.

A List of the Articles Contained in the Bag found in the
Possession of the said Danl Empson< no role > on Saturday the 29th. day
of december 1781. Viz

One White Frock Coat. One Light Coloured Coat & Breeches, One
Greenshag Waistcoat. One Blue Livery Coat: One Pair of Black
Worsted Stockings. Two pair of thread ditto. One Pair of
Shoes. One Shirt Etc. and which are proved to be the
Property of John Coope< no role > Esqr . of Osborne Street Whitechapel
