The Information of John Morant< no role > Esqr. Joseph Read< no role >
William Briggs< no role > William Evans< no role > and Joshua Sands< no role >
and Benjamin Golley< no role >
taken before me this 21st.. Day of January 1782.

Who being on Oath say and first the said JohnMorant< no role > says that on Tuesday
Evening last about ½ past 5 o'Clock, he was robbed by two Highwaymen
a little the other side of Tyburn turnpike , towards Bays water, of
two Guineas, some silver and Half pence, a Pocket Book containing
a Draft for £130 and an antique Ring & both of whom afterwards
Rode towards Bays water. And the said Joseph Read< no role > says that
he was walking towards Bays water at this time, saw the said
Highway men stop the Chaire (and after Robbing the Person
therein) ride off towards Bayswater That when he came to
Bayswater he found a Horse lying on the Ground much have to
which Horse he verify believes was rode by one of the said
Highwaymen and further says he is very sure that no Horse
or Horsemen passed him from the time of the Robbery to the
time of his finding the Horse on the ground, but the two
Highwaymen that robbed the Chaire as aforesaid, and that
he verify believes Edward Wilkins< no role > now present to be one
of the said Highwaymen. And the said William Briggs< no role >
says that about a quarter before six o'Clock that Evening
He and William Briggs< no role > his Son were at Bayswater in a Cart,
that two Men on her reback who were riding full speed met
him, one of whom rode against his Cart, threw his Horse
down and Himself off, and was much hurt. And the said
William Evans< no role > says that he saw the said Man and his Horse
fall from riding against the Cart that he picked the said
Man up who was Edward Wilkins< no role > now present and who appeared
