me this 31st. day of October 1781.
Who being on Oath say and first the said James Jarvis< no role >
says that in the Night of Wednesday the 10th. of October
instant three Pigs were stolen from him at Longford
in the County of Middlesex
, and further says that on the
Friday morning following he found two of this said Pigs
in the possession of the said William Keeves< no role >
, and does verily
believe that he saw his third Pig in the possession of
the said William Grimsdall< no role >
at the same time; but
cannot be positive as it was killed. And the said
William Keeves< no role >
says that on Thursday morning the
11th. of October instant he bought the two Pigs claimed
by the said James Jarvis< no role >
of Person now present who
calls himself William Giles Smith< no role >
, for thirty five Shillings,
whom he first saw driving them & another Pig at Turnham
Green
towards London, and who then said that he
had purchased the said three Pigs the preceding Day
at Uxbridge fairAnd the said William Grimsdall< no role >
says
that he purchased the third Pig claimed by the said James
Jarvis< no role >
of this said William Giles Smith< no role >
at Turnham
Green
the same Day for eighteen Shillings.
