me this 12th day of Novemr. 1781.
Who being on Oath say and first the said Thomas Capp< no role >
says
that last Night or early this Morning he went to bed at the
One Bell Inn with a Person now present who calls herself
Ann Hyde< no role >
, at which time he laid on a table in the
Room four pounds nine Shillings and six pence, and when
he was afterwards awaked by the said Robert Sayer< no role >
he
missed the same and is very sure that she feloniously
stole the same. And the said Robert Sayer< no role >
says that
between 3 & 4 o'Clock the said Ann Hyde< no role >
came down
stairs and wanted to go out when this Informant
refused to let her go and took her back again into
the Room where said Capps was, who said she had
stolen his said Money on the table, when he
charged the Watch with her. And the said James
Cole< no role >
says that the searched her in the Watch house
and found eight Shillings under the inner sole
of her Shoe.
