picked up a Ruffle now produced and sworn to by the said Mr. Rouse
The said Joseph Gliere says that he is Servant to the said Mr.
Rouse and [..] had the Care of [..] his said Masters Linen-That
he came to Town with him on the 8th. of Novemr. last and on
his openingenteringhis said Masters Wardrobe to look for a Handkerchief
he found the Wardrobe had been robbed of a Quantity of
Ruffles and Cambrick HandkerchiefsThat at the request of
said Knox, he went to small Chain Trunk, in which the said
Knox usually kept his Linen, in order to send him a Shirt,
when he found in said Trunk five Cravats now produced which
he [..] doth verily believe to have been made out of his Masters
Linen, and also one Muslin Ruffle which had been apparently
cut from off one of his said Masters ShirtsThat [..]
[..] he looked into Knox's Press [..]
in order to send him a Coat, where he found a Bottle of Wine sealed with
his said Masters Seal which he is very sure is his said Masters
property and was stolen from out of a Wine CellarThe
said Joseph Lucas< no role > says that he is a Watch maker, and that
he about two Months ago, bought the said Gold Watch sworn to by
the said Mr. Rouse, of the said Robert Wilson< no role > . The said Robert
Wilson
< no role > says, that about five Months ago a person who called
himself Thomas Malone< no role > [..] sold him a Gold Watch which
he doth verily believe to be the Watch now produced for seven
Guineas and at the same time pawned two pair of lace [..] Ruffles also
[..] now produced for three GuineasAnd the said John Priestman< no role > says
on the 15th. of October last the said Malone pawned with this Informant
two pair of lace Ruffles for one GuineaAnd the said
Charles William Boughton Rouse< no role > Esqr for himself further says
