The Information of John Douglass< no role >
Master of the Ship Lion now lying
in the River Thomas in the County aforesd
Taken before me one of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County

Who being on his Oath Saith that about one O Clock
in the Morning of Saturday last he went to the house of
Mary Armstrong< no role > in Elbow Lane in the Parish of Saint
Paul Shadwell and knocked at the door when A Voice from
within [..] who was there, to which Informed replied
A Friend That soon after the door was opened and Informant
went in when he saw three Woman (now present) Viz said
Mary Armstrong< no role > Mary Plant< no role > & Jane Malone of One
of which asked Informant to give her something to
drink he accordingly gave one of them two six pences and
which he believes was Malone. That he then went up
Stairs with Mary Plant< no role > who asked him for some Money
when Informant told her he had no Change but pulled
her Purse out of his Pocket (in which Purse was Contained
Thirteen Guineas and a half) and sherved it to her at
the same time telling her there was money enough to pay her
and he would pay her in the Morning. That Informant
and said Plant then went into Bed together and about
four O Clock in the morning as near as he can recollect
said Jane Malone came into the Room with a Lighted
Candle and asked Informant to give her some a Money to
get a Pot of Purl he accordingly gave her four pence but she
did not fetch any Purl on the Contrary she left the four
pence on the Mantle piece-Informant then laid himself
down and went to Sleep and when he awoke which he
believes was near six O Clock he dressed himself and on
