taken before me this 7th. day of August
1781.

Who being on Oath says that he knows Joseph Randall< no role > , Robert
Jones
< no role > and Richard Darling< no role > Quest- that on Sunday night
last about ten o'Clock the said Robert Jones< no role > came into this
Informants passages of his house and asked for one William
Ward
< no role > , and on being told by Mrs. Dugard that he was not
there he enquired for Douglass. That Douglass being there
came to said Jones. That Jones then said to Douglass I
want Ward or somebody else to go to my Fathers, for that
I am wounded from having been out with Guest & another
on the road; and then added that one was taken and
that Guest had got off. That at this time this Informant
observed Blood on the back part of one of said Jones's
