himself saith that last Night about a Quarter before eleven
o'Clock

lower Grosvenor Street, the Prisoner met him and Immedi-
ately demanded his Life or his Money and pulled something
out from under his Coat that resembled a Knife upon which this
Deponent made Some resistance, and Struck him with a Caine
and drove him off the Pavement, he

make a push at him with the Weapon or Knife that he pulled
from under his Coat but this Deponent
[..] calling Watch
and Murder, the Prisoner run away and this deponent followed him down Grosvenor Street
turned into David Street and down brookes's Mews, and there
he was stopt.
And Mrs. JohnsonSmithor her Oath Saith that the above account
given by her Husband is true

about three Quarters pass'd ten o'Clock he heard the cry of Murder
Stop Thief that he saw a Man run and Immediately run after him that he was
Stopt at the bottem of the Mews, Mr Johnson came up and
