The Information of Charles Charlesworth< no role >
taken before me this 30th. day of June 1781.

Who being on Oath says that this Afternoon about 3
o'Clock a Person now present who calls herself
Sarah Clark< no role > came into the Shop of Messrs. Thomas
Knott< no role > ad William Burtoft< no role > in King Street Covent
Garden , and looked at some Black Lace. That after
-wards she desired to see some Black Ribbons and
bought one yard That Suspecting She had concealed
Some of the said Ribbon, he took her upstairs, charged
her with his Suspicion, when Said Sarah Clark< no role >
confessed to this Informant that ''She had taken
Some", and produced the Roll of Ribbon now
produced, which is the Property of the said Messrs.
Knott and Burtoft.
