The Information of William Wilson< no role >
Mariner a Lodger at George Bishops of
Ratcliff Highway in the Parish of St.
George Broker. Taken this 18th. day of
May 1781 before me One of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace in and for the said
County.

Who being on Oath Saith that about half Part
One O Clock in the Morning of the fifteenth of May Instant
he was accosted by a Man (to whom he is an utter Stranger)
on Salt Petre Bank and asked by him Partake of a
Pot of Beer that he accordingly Consented and went with
the said Man about twenty Rods up the Bank where
he saw a Light and round which were Sitting Eight or
Ten Persons on the Pavement on Salt Petre Bank before
whom was a [..] Galton Pet Chull of Beer and some
Beer in three Quarts PotsThat they asked Informant
to drink with them which heandOnce when instantly
the Light was Extinguished and he was Surrounded by
the said Persons One of whom took from him his Stick
and assaulted and beat him for some time butfill making
all the Resistance he could and endeavouring to get
away he heard some call to the other and said dont
beat him any more but draw Your knives and let his
Puddings outSaith that they then Robbed him
of One Stone Breast Buckle Set in Silver One
Cotton Handkerchief and fourteen Shillings in
Money and that he believes he should have been
