The Information of John Field< no role > , Taken on Oath before
me James Townsend< no role > Esquire one of his Majesty, Justices of
the Peace for the said County this 3rd. day of May 1781

Who Saith that he is employed to Work in the Garden
of James Stuart Tulk< no role > of Newington in the said County Gentleman under
the Gardener Named Simon Woodward< no role > . That he this Informant bound one
Load of Hay for the use of the said Mr. Tulk and put it into the Barn about
Two Months ago. that he this Informant Did by the order of Simon Woodward< no role >
Carry two Trusses of the said Hay to John Holmes< no role > a Bricklayer Labourer
Who lives near the premises of his said Master, and that of the said Load
he afterward at two Different Times Missed SeventwoTrusses, and at several other
Times he has carried and Delivered by the Order of the said Simon Woodward< no role >
Several Trusses of Hay to the said John Holmesby< no role > , That the Day after he
Delivered the two Last Trusses of Hay, to the said Holmesby which was about
Five Weeks ago the said Simon Woodward< no role > approved of his having Delivered
em. and said that Holmesby was to have two Trusses more to make up the
Quantity and further this Informant Saith. That by the Order of the said
Simon Woodward< no role > he has frequently Delivered to the Servant of Mrs. Webb. who
keeps the Sign of the three Jolly Butchers a publick House at Newington in
the said County, several Trusses of Hay at Different Times which Haythe
[..] as well as that Delivered to Holmesby the said Simon Woodward< no role >
told this Informant was by the order of the said James Stuart Tulk
and with his Knowledge and Consent untill Lately that the said Simon Woodward< no role >
Told him that said Mr. Tulk made a great Noise about the Stay and
that No more was to be Delivered, But that after That he this Informant
