taken before me this 29th. day of March 1781
Who being upon oath say, and For it the said William Sheldon< no role >
for himself says that a Quantity of Leaden Pipe now produced is his
property and was affixed to his Dwelling house in Exeter Court aforesaid
between the hours of nine and ten o Clock this morning; and that
in about an hour and a half afterwards the said Lead was taken
away and some part of it put into his Dust Hole and the other
part lying in a Cellar where he found itAnd the said William

for himself says that about ½ past 11 o Clock this Morning
he saw a person now present who calls himself William Winter< no role >
come from out of his Fathers house where he was sweeping
a Chimney and go along the Passage
of the house of the said
William Sheldon< no role >
That he continued in said Sheldon house
about a Quarter of an hour and then returned to this Informants
Fathers house againAnd the said Willliam Sheldon< no role >
for himself
says that from the above Circumstances he is very sure that
the said William Winter< no role >
is the person that feloniously stole
his said Lead
