Justices of the Peace for the said County
Who being severally upon Oath say and first this Informant
Richard Barrett< no role >
for himself saith that he keep a Public House
the Sign of the Hercules Pillars
in Saint James Market
that about four o'Clock in the afternoon of the 25th of November
last his Two pair of Stairs Room Door was Broke
Open & the following things Stolen therein Vizt. one Pair of
Silver Salts a Silver Cream Pot Two Silver Table
Spoons a Monmisy Pricy a Silver Watch &about
[..] Ten
Guineas in Money but who were the Person who Committe
the said Robbery he cannot tell but this Informant saith
that he verily believes the Pair of Silver Salt and Silver
Cream Pot now produced are his property and were Stolen
in his said House as above described
And this Informant John Dutton< no role >
for himself saith
that he is a Silversmith
that very near there yearsa
ago he Sold the Pair of Silver Salts & Silver Cream
pot now produced to the other Informant Richard Barrett< no role >
and in very certain they are the same which he so sell
And this Informant Dennis Mr Donald< no role >
for himself
saith that he is an Head borough
that on or about the
20th. of Marchlast
[..] pursuance of an Information he
received searched the Lodgings of the Person now present
who call herself Elizabeth Pearce< no role >
and among other things
found therein which had [..] taken from other Persons the Pair of Silver Salt and Silver Cream
Pot now produced & which are sworn to be the property
of the other Informant Richard Barrett< no role >
and saith that
when he apprehended the said Elizabeth Pearce< no role >
she told him
that the said Pair of Salts & Silver Cream pot were left
her by her Father at his Death
