The Information of Hannah
Wife of Joseph Merchant. Joseph Merchant< no role >
Robert Hicksman [..] George Royston
and Mary Wife of Alexander Lesley< no role >
taken before me one of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the said County

Who being severally upon their Oaths respectively do
say and first these Informants Hannah and Joseph
Merchant for themselves say that a person now present
who calls herself Jane Lesley< no role > did Feloniously Steal
& take & Carry away a Pair of large Silver Shoe Buckles
& a Red Cloth Clock now produced the property of the said
Joseph Merchant and being at the Value of Twenty Shillings

And this Informant Robert Hicksman< no role > for himself saith
that he is a Pawn broker & that a Person now present who
calls herself Charlotte Jones< no role > [..] on the 12th. of December
Instant pawned the large pair of Silver Shoe Buckles
now produced and Sworn to be the property of the other
Informant Joseph Merchant for the Sum of Six
Shillings & Six pence & he at the time of her pawning then
gave her no Duplicate but on the next day the said Charlotte
Jones came in Company with Ann Lynch< no role > and another
[..] young woman & took a Duplicate for the said
Buckles in the Name of Ann Lynch

And this Informant George Royston< no role > for himself saith
that he is a Servant to Mr [..] Pawn broker in Holborn
that on the 13th. of December instant a Person now
present who calls herself Ann Lynch came to his
Masters Shop in Company with another young Woman
who is not yet apprehended and Pawned the Red Cloth
Clock now produced and Sworn to be the property of the
said Joseph Merchant for four Shillings & Six pences

And this Informant Mary Wife of Alexander Lesley< no role >
for herself saith that the day before Yesterday the person
now present who calls herself Jane Lessley< no role > Sold to this
informant the Duplicate of the Pair of Silver Shoe buckles
now produced for two Shillings.
