for the said County City & Liberty
Who being severally upon Oath say And first
this Informant John Meggott for himself saith
that an or about the Twenteenth of March last
he had Occasion to examine a Number of his
Sheep which he had Grazing in a field near to his
House at Hendon and Counted the Member of five
Weather Sheep of one sort & mark that since that
time there has been only onebolledof the said five
Sheep killed for the Use of this Informant & his
Family that upon Saturday the 26th. having
received Information that one of his said Sheep
had been Stolen this Informant went the next
Morning into his field & found there was but three
of the said Sheep remaining
And this Informant Thomas Clark for himself
saith thatt upon the persons now present who
call themselves Richard Benne< no role >
& John Bunce< no role >
being apprehended & a Skin of a Sheep with
Particular Marks being found in their possession
this Informant together with the other Informt
William Newman has Compared the said
Skin with the living Sheep remaining & his
Masters Grounds & he finds that the Marks thereon
Do agree with the Mark upon the three
remaining live Sheep therein so that he believe
the Skin now produced murst have been the Skin
of a Sheep which had been Stolen & Drive
away out of his Masters field and in the property
