On ye Prosn. of Edward
for a Highway robbery

Thomas Morgan the abovenamed Defendant Maketh Oath That
a Bill of Indictment hath been preferred by the above named Prosecutor
against this Deponent for robbing him the said Prosecutor in an open
field near the Kings highway in the parish of Twickenham in the
County of Middlesex of Eleven half pence and two for things and
with the said Prosecutor for upwards of Twelve Months last past
and doubts not to Shew his Innocence on his Tryal and the Grounds
and Malicious Intent of the present prosecution but Saith he shall
not be able to Instant his Council and Collect his Witnesses to
prove his Innocence if the should be call'd on his Tryal today but
shall be ready to take his Tryal any time [..] on Friday next this Honourable
Court shall please to appoint.

Old Bailey the 13th. day of April
