The Information of John Pettit< no role > taken before me this
10th day of March 1774 .

Who being upon Oath says that he knows Abraham Franklin< no role > George Hartley< no role >
William Hill< no role > and Thomas Hill< no role > Says that on Monday night last all the
aforesaid Persons and this Informant were at a Six penny Club held at the house
of Richard Lord< no role > at the Sun in Sutton Street in the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell
that sometime after they had been there the said Abraham Franklin George Hartley and
this Informant went down Stairs into the Street and Immediately the said William
Hill came down Stairs and Joined them, that George Hartley then proposed to open
a Bed Chamber Window of the Sun Alehouse aforesaid & to Rob the house, that the
said Hartley got upon some [..] Rails and by that means and the use of a Chirrle
opened the said Window and Stole thereout some Silver Table Spoons two Silver
Salts, Six Silver Tea Spoons & other things that the said William Hill held
the door of the house to present any person coming out whilst the said Hartley
was robbing the house that this Informant left them and went to the Punch
Bowl, & the said William Hill went up into the Club again and the said Hartley
and Franklin went to dispose of the Property that about half an hour after
the said Hartley and Franklin came to the Punch Bowl to this Informant
and offered this Informant a Guinea as the said William Hill & this Informant
Shares of th Booty which he refused to takeSays that about three
Weeks ago the said William Hill Thomas Hill and this Informant Stole on
of the Apartments of Mr. John Hall< no role > in Bunhill Row a Gold Watch and a Pinch
Watch 4 Table Spoons a Crown Piece & two half Crowns & two Pair of Buckle
all which they sold to one John Waltom at the Fox in Moor fields for [..]
Guineas and half.
