Who being severally upon Oath say and first
this Informant John Bealby< no role >
for himself saith
that he lives with his Brother Benjamin Bealy< no role >
who keeps a Haberdashers Shop
in Princes
Street
St. James Westminster
That on Tuesday
last about Six oClock at Night after the
Candles were light he was down in the forekitchen
under the Shop when he heard some Glass smash
that he ran up Stairs into the Shop but not
perceiving anything imagined it had been at a
Neighbours then went down into the Kitchen
again that a fw Mintues after he heard Glass
rattle again and upon Examinging this Informant
saw a Large pane of Glass in the front of the
Shop broke and formed a considerable Quantity of
Ribbands and other Goods taken & Carried away
and observed that upon the paper as their the
Shop Window from whence the Goods had been
taken there was some fresh Blood as if the
person who had broke the Glass had Cut themselves
in the doing of it
And this Informant Benjamin Bealby for
himself saith that he keeps the Shop in princes
Street as abovementioned that on Monday last about
Six oClock at night he had Candles light as
Usual in his Shop about a Quarter of an hour
afterwards her was Informed by his Shop Woman
that the Shop was broke and the Gords gone
upon which he examined & found that a large pane
of Glass was broker and a large Quantity of Ribbands
