two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and
for the said County the 26 day of January 1774
Who saith that he is one of the Headboroughs
of the
Parish of St. Mary White Chapel
that being at the
Watch House on Duty in the Night of Sunday the
23 instant about twelve or one oClock one Alexander
Allen< no role >
and a Watchman brought a Man who called
himself William Ashford< no role >
and charged him with
felony [..] saith that he saw the said William Ashford
searched and there was found upon him [..]
[..] Tindar Box and several other things
Saith that he and the Bedel asked him the said
William Ashford who was with when he got into the
House of Mr. Allen that he answered one William
Thurgoland< no role >
and that they had a few Nights before
got into the yard of Mr Allen and Stolen a Copper
Tea Kettle and Stew Pann and that the said
Tea Kettle was then at the House of said Thurgoland
saith he then directed the said Bedel and a Watchman
to go [..] to the House of said Thorgoland and
see for the sd. Tea Kettle saith that they accordingly
went and brought the said Tea Kettle a Tobacca Box and the
said Thorgoland And this Informant further saith
that the said William Ashford also told him that
he and the said Thorgoland had broke open the
House of one Blewitt upon Adle Hill
