The Information of John Miller< no role > taken before me this
2nd. day of November 1774.

Who being upon Oath says that he knows one Yapper a Jew who is returned
from Transportation, William Wood< no role > , George Hartley< no role > , John Hartley< no role > , Henry Jordan< no role > ,
James Nimmy< no role > , Abraham Matshumet< no role > William Hatchman< no role > , Amos Merrit< no role >
now present, Abraham Abrahams< no role > a Jew commonly called (Seampy) and Isaac

and this Informant, set off together from the said Seampy's House about 11
o Clock at night intending to breck open Jew Ladys House at Highgate but
finding the House too well secured they left it and all went down Hornsey
Lane that observing a New Brick House with Iron Pallisadoes which he since
finds to be Mr. Ellicotts, they attempted that and got a Ladder which they
put down the Area then broke the Shutters and got into the Servants Hall
then broke that door & got into the Kitchen & took some Spoons & other plate then
broke through the Kitchen door & got into the Passage , then went up Stairs
[..] of an Alarm, & took a Dozen table Spoons out of two kn [..]
[..] back Parlour, a Tea Chest containing 2 Silver Cannisters & a Sugar Dish
[..] a Gold Headed Cane, & Mary other things, Says they then went up
Pair of Stairs & broke open a Cabinet in the back room out of which
took two Purses in one of which was two two Guineas pieces, &
[..] Crowns & half Crowns & many pieces of silver Coins. Says that
this a Bell Ring on which this Informant called out to his Companions
ran up, that this Informant got on the two pair of Stairs first & ran
[..] several Books Hatchman into another [..]
[..] a Woman [..]
[..] Matshumet, [..] door of Mr. Ellicotts [..]
[..] Immediately Shut again by Mr. Ellicott who cried
[..] and he would blow their Brains out, that either he said
[..] thrusted a Hanger between the Door & the Upright
[..] behind that they all then made their Escape out
[..] informant was the last and blew the Candle out
