taken before Us two of his Majestys
Justices of the peace for the said
County City and Liberty

Who being severally upon Oath say and first
this Informant John Gill< no role > for himself saith that
on Monday the 17th. of October instant about half
an hour past Eight o Clock at night he & the
other Informant Jane Wellsman< no role > were going from
London to Stone Newington wherethat in the High
Road near a Place called Balless end they saw
three Men in Company together that presently
after the said three Men came up to this Informant
& the sd. Jane Wellsman< no role > & Demanded their Money
when a Person now present who calls himself Charles
Rogers
< no role > took the other Informant Jane Wellsman< no role >
away a few Yards distance from this Informant
that the other two persons now present who call
themselves William Octoby< no role > . and Joseph Horton< no role >
remained with this Informant riftled his pockets
and Robbed him of one half Guinea in Gold. four
Shillings in Silver & a pair of Silver Buckles
out of his Shoe that upon their not finding all
the Money he had at first this Informant having
said he had no more William Oxtoby< no role > gave him a
Blow upon his head with a Stick or Bludgeon
that the said Joseph Horton< no role > at the same took the Silver
Buckles out of this Informants Shoes than the
said two Men left this Informant & went and
joined their Companion who was & till with the
other Informant that it was a fine clear Moonlight
Night and this Informant having had a very
distinet view of the said Two persons is very
clear and positive that both [..] from their
