saith that he remembers the other Informant Graw
Tatham coming to his House in Parker Lane [..]
about Six o'Clock in the morning on Monday the
fourth of July instant where she sat her self down
in a Box in the Tap Room in which the two persons
now present who call themselves Luke Management
in John Smith< no role > not together with one James
Hawkins
< no role > were sitting that she entered very freely
into conservation with the said three Mens that this
Informant went out for some little time & when he
returned again ward Informed that an attempt had
been made to pick the said Grace Tathams pocket
and that she had a Bank note therein that upon
this Informant entering his House he met the
said these Men at the Door going away and upon
his being Informed of the attempt are above he
Immediately asked of her note was safe & bid her
look which she did & found that the [..] Bank
Note for Ten pound and a promisory note for
thirty pounds together with the Handkerchief in
which they were both wrapped up were all taken &
out of her pocket & carried away that this
Informant suspecting the said these new pursued
them & traced them to the Sign of the two Brewer
Middle Row Holborn where upon Enquiry he found
the third men such as he described had been in the
said House & were but just gone when this Infant
Enquired and this Informant further saith that
the Day after the said Luke Margerum< no role > was
apprehended he confessed to this Informant that
Hawkins had picked the Women pocket of the
Handkerchief & notes and that the Ten pound Bank note
was changed & stand between them but that [..]
did not know what become of the thirty pound note
or the Handkerchief
and there Informant Elizabeth Macher for
herself saith that she is a servant at the Two
