Brewers in Middle Row Holborn that she remembers
the other Informant Andrew Walls coming to the said
House and Enquiring after two Soldiers & another
Men that three such persons who were described by
him had been in the said House and were but just
gone and this Informant veryly believe that the
two persons now present who call themselves Luke
Mangerum & John Smethurst< no role > are two of the three
persons who were in the House aforesaid & were but
just gone out of it at the time the other Informant
came [..] described & made enquiry after them
and this Informant Mary Jennings< no role > for herself
saith that she is the Daughter of the other Informt
Grace Tatham that upon being informed her
Mother had been Robbed she made all the
enquiry she could to discover the persons who had
Robbed her that upon Luke Margerum< no role > being
apprehended she had a good deal of conversation
with him concerning the Robbery and challenged
him with having Committed it that in the courses
of this Conversation the said Luke Mary name
acknowledged to this Informant that the Chair
maker (morning Hawkins) had taken a Ten poundthe cooke
Bank note out of her Mothers pocket that they
had changed it at a Linen Draper and that they
had shared the money between himself the
Corporal (meaning John Sinethurst< no role > ) and the
Chairmaker - Hawkins that upon this Informt
enquiring of the said Luke Margerum< no role > how he
knew that he had got it he told her that Hawkins
upon having picked the pocket of the sd. Grace
Tatham immediately said Dann you Jack
come along I have nabbed the Rest or words
to that effect
