Middlesex to wit


The Information of Edward Lee< no role > the
Younger Thomas Merchant< no role > John Wood< no role > & Charles
Grubb
< no role > a Constable taken before me one
of his Majesty's Justices of the peace for
the said County

Who severally being upon Oath say And first this
Informant Edward Lee< no role > the Younger for himself saith
that he works at a House in Husband Street Saint
James Westminster for his Uncle that upon the said
Work a Leaden Pump was laying in the yard of the said
House on Wednesday last & this Informant saw
the Yard [..] Gate fast at about ten o'Clock at Night
thataboutbetween Six & Seven the next Morning
he found the Yard Door open and the said leaden
pump gone and saith that a person now present
who calls himself John Pearce< no role > was charged by
this Informt. with stealing the said Pump & he
confessed the Stealing of it & had sold it to one
Trinquent in little Poultney Street & Saith that part
of Leaden pump now produced to part of the said
Leaden pump which was so Stolen as aforesaid
and is the property of his Uncle Edward Lee< no role > the Elder

And this Informant Thomas Merchant< no role > for himself
saith that on Thursday last as he believes about
Noon he saw the said John Pearce< no role > walkings about
the Door of his Master Charles Trinquents House
writing for his Master he being then from home
and as soon as his Master came home the said
John Pearce< no role > brought a Leaden pump part of which
is now produced. that there was no questions asked
(as this Informt. remembers) by his Master but the pump
was put into the scale which weighed three quarter
of a hundred and Seven pounds & the said Chartes
Trinquent paid the said John Pearce< no role > Six Shillings
and Nine Pence for it & then Ordered his Brother & this
