Carter to open the Door who said she could not open the Door, And
the said Ann Stapleton< no role > for herself says that at the Time above
mentioned she heard the Alarm and went to the said house that when
the said Door was opened she saw the said Eleanor Carter< no role > with her
Hair loose her face bloody and a Bag upon her Shoulders, that
the next Morning about 9 or 10 o'Clock she saw a Hatchett now
produced lying in her Mistress's Garden which joins to the said
Mr. Rivers's Garden where the said Susannah Shaw was found as
aforesaid which said Hatchett was not in the said Garden at
5 o'Clock on the said Sunday Evening, and the said William
Rogers
< no role > for himself says that he made the said Hatchett for the
Use of the said Susannah Shaws Husband by order of the Parish
Officers of Kensington and has since seen it in the Possession of
the said William Shaw< no role > , and the said Charles Cartwright< no role > for himself
says that at the Time above mentioned to also went to the said
Mr. River's house with other persons and was present when the
said Susannah Stairs was brought out of the Necessary as aforesaid
that she was then dress in Men's Cloaths, that there was also a
Great Coat and a Cord in the said Necessary with her, and
the said Eleanor Carter< no role > for herself further says that she does
verily believe the said Susannah Shaw at the Time above
mentionedintended toforced into the said house as aforesaid
with Intent to commit a felony therein
