November last he received Information in the Country
that his House had been broker open & Robbed and
this Informant came to Town on the 25th. of Novemr
& found that His House had been Broker open & Robbed
of the before mentd. things now produced & also of the

One White Sarsenet Cloak trimmed with Blown
One Picture of a Child set in Gold one Pair of Coup de Pearl
Earrings set with Marquisaterl in One Drop One of part of
Small Ditto plain in an Etwee Case One Large Mechlin
Lace Ruffler & One Devonshire Ditto two pair of Devonshire
Lace Ruffler Seven Shirtsthea Silver Milk pot
a White Cornelian Seal Set in Gold aGoldSeal of a Mittern
head set in Goldbut who well of theperson who
Broke Open the said House this Informant cannot
tell

And this Informant Esther Smart< no role > for herself
saith that on the 8th. of October last she was left
in Care of the House of the other Informant Thomas
De< no role > Gray Esquire who sentin Chandos Street
Saint Mary Le Bone who went out of Town on
that Day. that on Monday Night the 23d. of
November last. 1772 about nine oClock at Night
she saw that the House was all fast & secure
but she particularly observed that the back Area
Door which leads into the Kitchen was fastened with
two Iron & One Wooden Bolt< no role > & a Lock which was
also fast this Informant went to Bed a Little
before twelve & all was then safe that about
Six oClock the Next Morning this Informant
got up & came down Stairs with a lighted Candle
& found that the back Area Door had been broke open
and the of the three Bolto pushed back & the third
pretened the Piece of Wood [..] now produced Which had been
cut out of the said Door laying in the inside then
this Informant went up Stairs & found the street
