& found that the Drawers had been brokenOpen & two
Portmanteau opened but what was taken out of the
said Drawers & Portmanteaus this Informant cannot
tell-this Informt. then went up into the One pair
[..] of Stairs back Room & found that a Cabinet Etc
Chest Broke Open & in the two pair of Stairs Rooms
a Closet and a Mahogony Press.hadbroke open but
was taken from thence or who were the persons who
broke Open the same this Informant cannot tell

And this Informant John Bird< no role > for himself saith
that in the begining of December last 1772 a Person now
present who calls herself Elizabeth Dechaund came
to this Informants Shop in New Street in the Parish of
Saint Martin in the Fields & Sold to this Informant
a Ladys Gold plated Chain & a Gold Seal with a Milton's
Head & the Barrs of a Pair of Garnet Earrings now
produced & a Girdle Buckle part of which is also now
produced that on Friday last about Six o'Clock in the
Evening the said Elizabeth Dechaund came to this Informt
and offered to Sale the Gold Enamelled Fish a Seal set
in Gold the Handle of a Tambour Needle set in Gold
& a Gold that all now produced & which are sworn to be
the property of the other Informant Thomas De Grey< no role > Esquire
upon which this Informant stopped her & carried her
before the Justices.but the said Chair & Seal [..]

And this Informant Richard Barnett< no role > for himself
saith that he is a Constable of the Parish of Saint Anne
Westminster that on Friday Night last about ten
o'Clock he went with Mr. Carleton Clerk to the Magistrates
at the Rotation officer in Litchfield Street to the House
of a person now present who calls himself Gabriel
Dechaund< no role > in Cambridge Street St. James & by his
direction took the said Gabriel in charge & brought him
before the Magistrates that on the same Evening he
went with a Search Warrant & searched the House of
