taken before me One of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace
for the said County
Who being upon Oath saith that on Tuesday night test
about 11'o Clock this Informant going thorough the Strand
on the Middlesex
side of Temple Bar
he was attacked
by three Women one of which Women put her hand
into this Breeches pocket & pulled out a purse containing
therein Six Gunieas & a half in Gold & some Silver but
how that quantity he cannot tell and this Informant
saw the said Woman whom he doth not know deliver
the said Peuse to a woman not present who calls
herself Frances Brown< no role >
and this Informant Caught fast
hold of her hand in order to take his purse & Money
from her but by some means she had conveyed it
to [..] one of the other two women & they both made of
this Informant kept fast hold of the said Frances
Brown< no role >
. this Informant further saith that a Man
who either is or personated the Brothr of the said
Frances Brown< no role >
came & offered to pay the Money if he
would not prosecute the said Frances Brown< no role >
which this Informant refused & this Informant hath
been since told that the Brother or pretended Brother
had delivered the said Money into the hands of one
